My Take On: China Glaze Your Present Required

Hi everyone! Remember to enter the giveaway I'm hosting! Today I have swatches of China Glaze Your Present Required. YPR is a glitter polish with a clear base, and white, pink, blue and gold glitter. It's fun for the holidays but doesn't scream Christmas. I layered it over Zoya Audrina, a bright pink creme polish. I use 3 coats of YPR on top and it made the pink pop so much!

My Take On: China Glaze All Wrapped Up

Hey guys! I recently tried out China Glaze All Wrapped Up from their HoliGlaze collection. AWU is a purple glitter with a clear base. Purples are my favorite so I might be biased, but this one is so fun and sparkly! It really only took three coats to be opaque and usually glitters like this either require a purple base or up to 5-6 coats.

Have you tried this one out?

Wedding Nails Pt. 2

Hey guys! I know I shared a not-so-good photo of my wedding nails when I got back. However- I just got my professional pictures back and I brought a special prop to take a photo of my engagement ring. Enjoy!

I also love this picture, of me and my bridesmaids trying to set this up (there was double stick tape involved).

My Take On: China Glaze Santa Red My List

Hey guys! Trying so hard to get back in my blogging routine, but new polish always serves as a good incentive :) I received the China Glaze Happy HoliGlaze samples a few weeks ago and they looked amazing! I started with Santa Red My List- a metallic Pink polish. The polish is opaque and could be fine to stand alone with just one coat. I used two for these swatches. Not totally sure why it's named like a red polish, but it's a great dark pink shade, I can see it being fab for nail art too!

Halloween Sugar Skull Nail Art!

Hey guys! I wanted to try something a little more out of the norm this Halloween. Just last year I decorated some Sugar Skulls around this time of year with a local organization I volunteered for. It was so much fun and then I thought- this would make the perfect Halloween nail art! I started with a Pure Ice white shade. I then used a dotting tool to create dots in Illamasqua Jomina (purple), Pure Ice Yellow Polka (Yellow), China Glaze Sunday Funday (blue), Illamasqua Optimist (Orange) and China Glaze Escaping Reality (Pink). Phew! I then dotted black to make the eyes, and created the nose and mouth portion. I love this design because it's both adorable and spooky :)

DON'T FORGET! I have a giveaway going on! Enter here:

Now for the pictures!

My Take On: China Glaze Boo-Gie Down

Hey everyone! I received three of China Glaze's Halloween collection and I was so excited to try them! First up was Boo-gie down. BD is a multi-glitter polish featuring orange small glitter, black, white and orange medium hexagonal glitter, and black horizontal and large hexagonal glitter. I used Avon Saturn and Essie Licorice to create an ombre orange to black look underneath the glitter. I then used two coats of BD on top. This was so fun and I love this glitter polish!

Don't forget about my giveaway!!

Incoco Review + GIVEAWAY!

Hey guys! I recently tried out my first Incoco Nail Polish Strips. I received the Nail Design in Ikat Catwalk. I love the design, it's a glittery silver with light blue Ikat design. These nail polish strips were really easy to apply. You start with clean nails, and then select the nail strip that fits your nail bed best! After applying carefully, just smooth out and file off the excess and you're done! They have so many cute colors and designs and they come out with seasonal designs too. Sorry for the shortie nails, moving + wedding + honeymoon were not friendly to my nails.

Check out more of their designs here!

I'm also excited to share an awesome giveaway where you can win your own Incoco Nail Polish Strips ($8.99 each!) It's open to US only (sorry friends!) and you can enter using the rafflecopter below :)

I'm Back! (For Real This Time) + Wedding Mani!

Hello friends! I have been so bad at blogging the past 5 months or so, as I was spending most of my free time planning my wedding. Well now the wedding and honeymoon are over (sad) but I can finally get back to blogging!

I'm kicking this off with a giveaway tomorrow (!) but wanted to start off by sharing my wedding mani. Leading up to the wedding so many people asked me how I was going to do my nails. Lots of pressure. But I went with something pretty classic but with a modern twist. I used OPI Hopelessly In Love for the base color. Then I used China Glaze Glistening Snow from Holiday 2012 to create an ombre sparkle!

Please forgive the photo, it was the only one I have!

Enjoy xo and glad to be back!

Vaseline Spray & Go at MBFW!

Hey guys! I am so excited to try this product and I wanted to share a recent event they were featured at. Vaseline® Spray & Go Moisturizer was a sponsor of STRUT, The Fashionable Mom Show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Lincoln Center!  Vaseline Spray & Go Moisturizer, a convenient spray lotion that moisturizes deeply and absorbs quickly, made it easy for the models to moisturize and get dressed fast so they could strut their looks down the runway. Celebrity moms Amber Sabathia (wife of the New York Yankees’ CC Sabathia), Alexis Stoudemire (wife of the New York Knicks’ Amar’e Stoudemire), and Laura Posada (wife of retired New York Yankee Jorge Posada), amongst others walked in the show after using the lotion.

I always have loved the commercials for these and thought it was such a great idea for the product!

Have you tried this lotion?

My Take On: Avon Nail Art Design Strips in Inner Animal

Hey everyone! Please excuse my absence! My wedding is only 3 weeks away now! It's been taking up quite a large chunk of time so I hope to get back to a regular schedule shortly :)

I received these Avon Nail Art Design Strips and I was so excited to try them! I especially loved this design. Inner Animal is a dark gold shade with leopard print in black and different colored gems. The application was very simple, and similar to other nail art stickers. My favorite part of wearing this is how easy it is to take them off too! I love this design and would definitely buy these nail art strips again! You can find them online here for just $10 each.

OPI Hopelessly In Love with Nicole by OPI Inner Sparkle

Hey everyone! Today I have a simple swatch with one of the new Nicole by OPI Selena Gomez glitter polishes. I started with OPI Hopelessly In Love, a pale pink. I have been searching for a light pink that isn't too transparent and this polish is perfect! I added Nicole by OPI Inner Sparkle, from the new Selena Gomez collection. Inner Sparkle is a glitter polish with light pink large microglitter, and small gold glitter. I love this combination!

Birthday Bow Nail Art!

Hey everyone! Today I have my birthday mani from last week. I started with Essie Ballet Slippers as my base color. I used Butter London Pillar Box Red to create small bows. Finally I added a small pink rhinestone to finish the look! I like this design because its simple and subtle but so adorable!

Red Glitter Ombre Nail Art

Hey everyone! Today I have a fun glittery mani for you. I started with Butter London Pillar Box Red, and then layered Urban Outfitters Basics Red Glitter Mani. It took several layers to achieve this ombre look but I love it! I chose Pillar Box Red since it is on the verge of a red-orange shade whereas the UO shade is a very deep, dark red.

I hope this Ombre trend for nails does not go away any time soon!

China Glaze Tart-y for the Party!

Hey everyone! My wedding planning and traveling for work has been leaving me little time left to blog. I do apologize for that but am hoping to get back in it starting today.

I reviewed China Glaze Tart-y for the Party, a bright lavender shade from their Spring collection. Like many China Glaze creme polishes, this one applies smoothly and I only used two coats.

Loving their entire Spring collection, and I'm a sucker for purple :)

BACK! With Neon + Neutral Tape Mani

Hey everyone! So sorry for my planning, traveling for work and just being so busy has been keeping me away.

Today I have a really fun mani featuring two great polishes. I started with Maybelline Express Finish in Brassy, my classic neutral. Then using a tape mani technique painted over it with China Glaze Escaping Reality from their Cirque Du Soleil collection. I peeled the tape off, and voila! I love the neon and neutral trend and this is just one more fun way to spice it up.

Watercolor Deep V Mani with China Glaze, Essie and Chanel Pastels

Hey everyone! So sorry for my absence. The good news: I have lots of fun swatches and nail art looks to share! Today's is a mix of two trends: One that I call 'Deep V' which exposes a small reverse triangle on your nail, and the 'watercolor' trend. To achieve the watercolor look, simply start with a base in a light, pastel shade, and using a sponge, makeup sponge, or even a nail art brush, just dab on a few other pastels. I used China Glaze Tart-y For the Party, Essie Pop Art Pink and Chanel Riva. For the Deep V, I used Maybeline Express Finish in Brassy. Hope you enjoy this look!

Enjoy and have a fun weekend!

March Madness Nail Art: KU Interlocking Dots Mani!

Hey everyone! Some of you may have seen my post on Instagram with this mani but now it's time to share it, with the start of the NCAA Tournament today. I used this tutorial to get it just right! This mani started with Butter London Pillar Box Red and Bluey. It looks complicated but it's actually pretty simple!

Happy March Madness and Rock Chalk!

My Take On: China Glaze Hanging in the Balance

Hey everyone! I was really hoping it would feel like Spring by now, but it is still freezing!! Hopefully this color will brighten up your day. China Glaze Hanging in the Balance is an Aqua Creme polish from their Cirque Du Soleil collection. It really only needed one coat, but I used two. It applied really nicely and is such a fun, bright blue!

Happy hump day!

St. Patrick's Day Mani with China Glaze Winter Holly

Hey everyone! Time for a St. Patty's Day mani! This time around I used a base coat of Julie G Ornamental, a metallic gold polish. I created polka dots, diagonal stripes and of course, a shamrock using China Glaze Winter Holly from their Holiday 2012 collection. Winter Holly is an amazing green glitter polish with hints of gold and red.

Happy St. Patty's day and stay safe this weekend!
