Halloween Nails: Skulls and Kitties!

Happy Halloween! Hope you are all enjoying some candy today and wearing fabulous costumes! I have two very fun Halloween looks today. First, I made skulls using OPI Alpine Snow and Essie licorice. This technique was pretty easy but I think with more practice I could improve these little cute skulls. Next, I created a kitty mani! For this I used a base of Essie Mademoiselle, and used Essie licorice for the cat face, OPI Pink Friday for the nose and Alpine Snow for the eyes! I love this look, it may be my favorite ever!

Enjoy and have a fun and safe Halloween!

Halloween Spiderweb mani

Hi lovelies. Today I have my first of three Halloween looks! I started this look using Butter London Pillar Box Red, and then added a coat of Urban Outfitters red glitter polish. For the spiderweb I used a thin nail art brush and Essie licorice. I like how this turned out but I think it might have looked more Halloweenish with orange or purple. Hope you are all painting fun Halloween looks this week!

KC Blogger Meetup Recap

Hi everyone! Today I have a recap of the KC Blogger event I attended last night. The event was thrown by Lisa from Peridot Skys and Erin of Pretty, Polished, Perfect. We enjoyed cupcakes and drinks while checking out great jewlery creations from fellow bloggers. Then we made our way into the kitchen for my favorite part of the event- Dip-dying! I brought a pair of bleached jeans to dye and I was so excited. Many of the girls used a dark Olive dye, and some used a Wine or 'Oxblood' as I should call it. Dip-dying is easy enough, but as we learned it is definitely a two person job! I loved it and hope to try it again with maybe a scarf or t-shirt!

I love attending these events and can't wait to meet more fabulous bloggers!

Tasty cupcakes made by Erin!

Getting ready to dip-dye

Rinsing out my new jeans!

The final product! (Drying in my bathroom hah)

Ombré Polka Dots

Hey everyone! Today I'm posting a super fun look. I started with Essie Playa Del Platinum as the base. Then I used a dotting tool to create the ombré look. Starting with the darkest shade, I added OPI Ski Teal We Drop. I then added Hard Candy Frenzy, and finished up with Chanel Riva. I really loved this and am honestly obsessed with the ombré trend and hope it never ever goes away! :)

Half Moon Mani with Butter London Pillar Box Red and West End Wonderland

Hi everyone! Today I have a great holiday-esque mani. Last week I tried out West End Wonderland. I then added the half moon look with Pillar Box Red using my handy hole punch reinforcers. I love this color combo so I had to post but unfortunately all of my pictures ended up blurry. Major bummer. Please excuse the blurry!

My Take On: Butter London West End Wonderland

Hi everyone! Today I'm trying out Butter London West End Wonderland. WEW is a gorgeous glitter polish with gold, red and orange micro glitter. Application is similar to other BL glitters, I used three coats. I love this color because it's not just gold! It is so vibrant and fun, great for a fancy event!

Nude+Black Stripes

Hey everyone! Today I'm sporting a funky look. There was literally no inspiration behind this, I was just sleepy and needed a cool design! I started with China Glaze Camisole as a base. I used three coats of it to make sure it was completely opaque. I then created a thin black vertical stripes with Essie Licorice and a single black stud on each nail.

My Take On: Julie Kickin' It

Hey everyone! Today I'm trying out a new brand, Julie! I first tried the shade Kickin' It, a grey/ nude shade. Application was really smooth and I got a ton of compliments on this color! They sent me a few other shades to try and I can't wait!

Triangle Mani with OPI Do You Lilac It?

Hey everyone! Today I have a fun geometric mani for you. I started with OPI Do You Lilac It and then added OPI Stranger Tides to the top of each nail. I then added the triangle lines using Urban Outfitters Grey 1. This is such a simple design but looks quite fancy if you ask me!

My Take On: Butter London Knackered

Hi everyone! Today I'm posting my review of Butter London Knackered! It's a light lavender metallic with aqua microglitter. This is a shade I've been wanting for a long time and I'm so exited to try it out! Application was good, however it was more sheer than I would have liked. I used four coats this time around. Hope you enjoy!

My Take On: American Apparel Galaxy

Hello dear friends! Today I'm trying out a super glittery polish from American Apparel! Galaxy is a multicolored round glitter polish with a clear base. I tried it on top of Pure Ice Silver Mercedes this time around, but I think it would look awesome over black, gold, or one of the colors of the glitter! I used three coats of Galaxy on top of the silver and I thought it was pretty good as far as amount of glitter per coat. I'm excited to try this one with so many other colors!
