My Take On: Butter London Wallis

Hi everyone! I've been dying to try BL Wallis for some time now and thanks to Coterie I was able to snag it! Wallis is a deep green, almost chartreuse in tone with gold hints of glitter. It really is a perfect fall polish. Like all BL polished, application was amazing. I used two coats and it looks awesome.

My Take On: Illamasqua Optimist

Hello! So this is quite an interesting review for me. I purchased Illamasqua Optimist from their Rubber Finish collection. I loved it in the bottle and as soon as I started to use it! But here is the thing. I painted my nails with this THREE times before it looked decent enough to take a photo of. And I chose not to edit these at all (normally I edit for color correction) to show how they really appeared. The color is amazing but just got very chunky on my nails and never smoothed out! It looked fine to a non perfectionist, but I couldn't stand it! Have you tried any of these and what did you think?

My Take On: Deborah Lippmann Superstar

Hi everyone! This past week I was TERRIBLE :(. Don't hate me for not posting for almost a week!

But now I'm back to regular posting, phew!

Today I'm reviewing Deborah Lippmann Superstar, a Copper/Bronze glitter polish. I was surprised to see that this polish wasn't just glitter with a clear base, but that the base was tinted as well! I used two coats to get this completely opaque look! I love this polish and it is definitely a glitter polish that still looks classy!

My Take On: Nails Inc Sugar House Lane

Hey everyone! Today I am so excited to show off one of my newest favorites. Nails Inc Sugar House Lane is part of their sprinkles collection and since I don't get to Sephora too often, I HAD to grab it! SHL is a light grey, almost lavender sheer polish with black, white and silver microglitter. This time I used it on its own with three coats, but it would look awesome over a number of colors.

Pink Ombre Stripes

Haaaappy Friday! Today I have a super fun pink ombre manicure. To me it looks a bit like a paint chip too! I started with Essie Mademoiselle at the bottom of each nail. Next came OPI Pink Friday from the Nicki Minaj collection. I then layered LA Colors Exotic Pink and finally the darkest pink was Essie Plumberry. I really liked this look as it was fun and bright but still appropriate for work!

Have a great weekend!

My Take On: American Apparel Meteor Shower

Today I'm testing out a fun gold leaf polish from American Apparel. I used to WORSHIP American Apparel but I haven't stepped into one in years. A few weeks ago I felt the urge while out and about and snagged not one, not two, but three amazing glitter polishes. The first one I tested out is AA Meteor Shower, a gold leaf polish with a clear base. I used two coats on top of Essie Licorice.

My Take On: OPI Every Month is Oktoberfest

Hey everyone! I'm so excited to review my first OPI polish from the Germany collection! I picked up Every Month is Oktoberfest, a deep red with hints of purple and orange. GORGEOUS. And what a formula.

I am so glad I picked this one because I have a feeling it will be my go-to fall color!

Music Monday: Frank Ocean Remix, Taylor Swift, Sky Ferreira and more!

Hello everyone and Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a great weekend. Today I've got some of my favorite jams this week!

1). Thinking About You (Flying Lotus Remix)- Frank Ocean
Probably one of my favorite songs from this summer, with a kickass remix by Flying Lotus. Killer.

2) Ronan- Taylor Swift
Taylor debuted this somber tribute to children who have lost their battle to cancer last week during the Stand Up to Cancer special. I'll admit, it's a bit hard to watch the whole thing and listen to the words without shedding a tear. But the best part about this is that all of the proceeds from this single go towards cancer research!

3. Everything is Embarrassing- Sky Ferreira
I have loved SF for a while now. I was anxiously awaiting this new jam and it was worth the wait. I'm so happy to see this song get such a positive reception.

4. Clique- Big Sean, Jay-Z and Kanye West (NSFW)
Another song with more artists on it than I can keep track of. But I am liking this one MUCH better than Kanye's last single to drop, New God Flow. What do you think of this one?

Review: Deborah Lippmann Stripper to Go Polish Remover Finger Mitts

Hey everyone! I'm closing out the week with my review of Deborah Lippmann Stripper To Go Polish Remover Finger Mitts. I received the mitts for review from the lovely Nail Polish Canada. I tried this out twice for the review's purposes but I'm only including one set of pictures. I wanted to really test how well these would do, so I tried these with a notoriously difficult polish- Deborah Lippmann Mermaid's Dream. This polish is especially difficult to remove due to the small and large glitter in it. It did take quite a bit of work, but overall I was impressed! One of my favorite things about these is the smell! The lavender scent is amazing and it is not nearly as harsh as other nail polish removers. It worked really well getting such a difficult polish off. For comparison, I also tried it with just a solid color, and it worked perfectly.

If you'd like to give these a try, you can find them at Nail Polish Canada here.

Have a fun and safe weekend!

Cling/Saran Wrap Mani with Essie Smokin' Hot

Hi friends! Today I have a mani to share that I've been so excited about. I used the cling wrap/saran wrap technique that I've been seeing lately. First I applied two coats of Essie Smokin' Hot and let it full dry. A few hours later I crumpled up some cling wrap and I was ready to go. I pained two coats of OPI Stranger Tides on top of my Essie polish, and dabbed each nail with the cling wrap while it was still wet. The effect is really awesome and so easy! You literally can't mess this up. I would highly recommend this for a fun and unique mani!

Red and White Polka Dots

Hello everyone! Sorry for the brief hiatus, I had a busy holiday weekend! Today I have an easy and fun look featuring Le Metier De Beaute Red Hot Tango I used last week. I added a diagonal stripe of OPI Alpine Snow and polka dots! I thought this mani was on the verge of minnie mouse, but I still like it!
