My Take On: Le Metier de Beaute Red Hot Tango

Hi friends! Sorry for the lack of update. Today I have an amazing shade for you. I was fortunate enough to win a fabulous giveaway from the lovely ladies at We Heart This. In addition to some fabulous cosmetics, I won a Le Metier de Beaute polish in Red Hot Tango. The polish is honestly one of the smoothest I've ever used. I used two coats and I have to say, this will be my go to red from now on!

Single Line Half Moon Mani with China Glaze Harvest Moon

So I've clearly been obsessed with Kleancolor Metallic Aqua lately...as this is my third post in two weeks using it! Whoops. I was inspired for this mani from a post I saw on Tumblr and figured, I might as well use my color of the moment for it! I started with two coats of China Glaze Harvest Moon, a deep bronze/orange shade from the Hunger Games collection. I pressed on my handy hole punch reinforcer stickers to create a nice half moon line. Only this time, I didn't paint my entire nail, I just created a very thin line using Kleancolor Metallic Aqua. I LOVE this look. Any way to revamp the half moon, I'm in.

What do you think of this look?

Music Monday: Yeasayer, Tswift, Little Mix and more!

Two posts in one day! Phew! So for today's Music Monday, I have my most recent favorite albums, remixes, covers and new singles. Hope you enjoy these and as always please share your thoughts in the comments!

1. ALBUM: Fragrant World- Yeasayer
This album is perfection. I've been listening to it at work and I must say it is so relaxing and upbeat at the same time. You can check out the full album here!

2. We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together (Country Mix)- Taylor Swift
I LOVE this new song from the one and only country princess Tswift. However, I stumbled upon this 'country mix' of the single. At first I thought to myself, wait isn't it already a country song? But the original has almost no hints of country and I kinda like this twangy version. Which do you prefer?

3. We Are Young (Fun. Cover)- Little Mix
This cover is just pure cuteness. This song has been covered a ton but I particularly like this one for some reason. And with the harmonies, this is just amazing.

4. Trouble ft. Childish Gambino- Leona Lewis
Leona Lewis is known for her super catchy tracks and this is no different. I was surprised to see Childish Gambino on the song, but it really works.

Enjoy!

Studded Mint + Metallic Mani with American Apparel Office

Hello friends! Have you already entered to win four fantastic Essie polishes? Well stop reading this and go enter! And then come back of course...

Today I've got a quirky look going on. I started with American Apparel Office, a light mint color and one I've had forever! I created the ruffian look with Pure Ice Ion-ically Yours. I'm going to call that a dusty gold? On top I added small black studs just at the base of Ion-ically Yours. What do you think! I'm not crazy about the colors, but it's a cool idea I'd try again soon.

Flakie Sandwich with Deborah Lippmann Girls Just Want to Have Fun

Hey friends! This is your first official reminder to enter my giveaway!!!

For today's look, I was inspired by so many of you trying out a 'flakie sandwich' which is basically a glitter sandwich but instead of a glitter polish in between, I used a flakie- in this case, China Glaze Luxe and Lush. I started with three coats of DL Girls Just Want to Have Fun. I then applied 2 coats of Luxe and Lush. To top it off I added one very thin layer of Girls Just Want to Have Fun so the flakie showed through! I really like this mani, and would love to try it with other colors. The key is to use a jelly polish on top. Has anyone else tried this style out yet?

'Fifty Shades of Grey' Nails aka Grey Ombre Mani

Happy Friday! Today I have an ombre mani for you, that I couldn't resist calling this 'Fifty Shades of Grey.' A book I have to say I am guilty of reading. Onto the nails! I sifted through my silvers, greys and blacks and finally settled on a combination that all matched. Starting from my pinky...I used Pure Ice Silver Mercedes and then on my ring finger I used a combination of Silver Mercedes + Zoya Jules which is more gold. I then used Zoya Tao on my middle finger and LA Colors Tropical Storm. Finally for my thumb I used China Glaze  Stone Cold, a matte shade from the Hunger Games collection. And now the pics!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Nude+Neon Gradient with Hard Candy Frenzy and OPI Barefoot in Barcelona

Hi friends! Today I've got a fun gradient for you. I love the nude + neon trend so I figured why not try it with a gradient mani! I started by painting my entire nail with OPI Barefoot in Barcelona. Using a makeup sponge, I created the mixture of BIB and Hard Candy Frenzy. I dabbed away and voila! Frenzy did not show up as neon as I would have liked, but overall I'm pretty happy with how this one turned out.

Metallic Pink Chevron/Fishtail?

Today I have a funky pink mani. I was inspired by this gorgeous mani from Chalkboard Nails, which she titled 'Vampy Fishtail.' I painted each nail with Nabi Cinnamon, a very light metallic pink. For the first stripe, I used LA Colors Pink Chiffon. I added on a layer of LA Colors Exotic Pink, and my final color was Kleancolor Metallic Pink. Overall I really like this look, and would definitely like to try it with other color combinations.

Enjoy!
