Hi everyone! Queen Bey has come out with her newest video, Party ft. J. Cole. I absolutely love this song! It is so fun, and the music video matches it perfectly! It's full of bright colors and fun nails! She rocks orange, pink zebra, cobalt blue, bright green, and a light blue. Another awesome part of this video is Kelly Rowland's cameo in the end! Love the old Destiny's Child bff's!
Hi everyone! I couldn't help but do another Halloween mani this week! I used Illamasqua Jo'Mina (one of my all time favorites) and Essie Tart Deco as an accent nail. I finished it off with OPI Black Shatter. This mani is ridiculously easy and looks so fun! I highly recommend it :)
Hi everyone! I'm taking a break from the 30 day nail challenge for Halloween! I have seen so many amazing nail designs for Halloween I just had to try one!
Today I've combined two fun nail trends, the newspaper mani, and the splatter mani (coined by The Polishaholic!)
I started off with Essie Playa Del Platinum for my base color. I then used vodka to get the perfect newspaper mani. I used Essie Red Noveau for the 'blood'. Used a normal straw to get the splatter effect. The newspaper and 'blood' combo reminds me of horror stories in the news! I love the splatter mani because every nail looks different, and there is no such thing as 'perfect!' Even my right hand looked good :)
Good morning everyone! So today is animal prints! I wanted to try an animal print I hadn't done before, so I went with zebra! I started with two coats of the gorgeous Chanel Peridot and finished with black zebra stripes. Everytime I wear Peridot I just end up staring at my nails all day! I love how this turned out. What is so great about zebra print is that there is no perfect! Every nail is different and there are endless color combinations.
Hey everyone! Today's post is stripes and I've used Essie It's Genius (the pink/purple tone) and Wrapped in Rubies (the copper/orange. I love these two together as they are similar but still complement each other.
I used tape to help perfect the stripes. And I finished these off with a coat of Seche Vite!
Hi everyone! So excited to finally be posting Britney Spears' newest video for her next single, Criminal from her Femme Fatale album. There are just so many things that are perfect about this video:
1) Filmed in London
2) Britney looks flawless
3) The 'criminal' is Britney's real life BF Jason Trawick! Let's hope they never break up otherwise this video of them will be pretty awkward!
4) Pretty raunchy video for Brit, but I still love it
5) Great song!
Hi everyone! Onto the nail art! Starting off easy with polka dots. I used Essie Smokin' Hot as a base and added dots with Essie Luxedo. To make the dots I used the popular bobby pin method. I love these colors together for fall and putting them together with polka dots just makes them perfect! I had some nail casualties over the weekend so they are a bit short but hopefully they will get back to the right length soon.
Hey everyone! Today I have Day 10 of the challenge-Gradient! I chose to use one of my newest colors, Wet N' Wild Party of Five Glitters. It's a clear polish with silver, pink, red, green and blue glitter! I think it would look great over a number of colors, but today I used it by itself!
I'm excited to start the next 10 days of the challenge, which will be all kinds of nail art!
Hi everyone! Today I have Day 9 of my 30 day nail challenge! Today's theme is rainbow. I pondered a lot of options for this mani...from 'skittles' style to rainbow colored french nails. I landed on polka dots! I used Chanel Mimosa as the base color. The polka dots are in the following shades: Zoya Apple, Butter London Blagger, Sinful Colors Daddy's Girl, and 17 Lasting Finish Polish in Tropical Island. I love these colors together and it is such a fun, happy mani!
Hey everyone! For my metallic nails I have a new shade, Wet n' Wild Gray's Anatomy. At first it seemed a pink/silver but it can appear greenish in some lights as well. It took about four coats as it is a bit sheer. I really like this color and can see myself wearing this all the time!
Hey everyone! Today's challenge is black and white nails so I did the reverse French manicure. I started with two coats of Alpine Snow and followed with three coats of MAC Nightfall.
The white was a little messier than I'd like but I think this mani still looks cute!
Hey everyone! Today I have No More Waity, Katie by Butter London. At first, I did not love this color. But trying this a second time, it's growing on me.
No More Waity, Katie is a grey/violet with light purple glitter. I had to use 3-4 coats on each nail as this is a pretty sheer polish.
One of my favorite songs from Beyonce's newest album '4' is Countdown. You might recognize it from her commercial for the Target exclusive album. This video is so much fun! I especially love all of the beauty looks, from her orange nails, to bright eye makeup it is just a joy to watch. There is a bit of controversy regarding where she might have found these dance moves and the concept but regardless...the video is perfection. See for yourself!
Hey everyone! Back to the 30 day nail challenge posts!
Today I have Butter London Victoriana, A shade that I just love! This polish only needs two coats and goes on like a dream. It's a light blue with shimmer that I see as gold, but occasionally it looks silver in the bottle! It is gorgeous and classy without screaming I'm wearing blue nail polish!
Hi everyone! Just found this gem at www.mostlyjunkfood.com and I love it! I've been wishing Justin Timberlake would come out with some new music while he pursues acting and being awesome and my wish has been granted!
Just found the most amazing new artist from the UK, Alex Clare. If you took the soulful style of Adele and mashed it with dubstep- you might have an idea of what Alex Clare's music is like. But it is so much better than I can describe. Have a listen:
