Summer Daisy Nail Art

Guys, it has been A WEEK. Clearly not just for me, as I feel like everyone around me has been feeling the same way. I'm also embarking on the glorious journey of moving over the next few weeks so I'm thanking 6-month ago me for backlogging some blog posts since my nails are for sure going to go downhill until the move is over. The good news is, we're totally redoing the office so I'm going to get some brand new space for blogging, including some awesome natural light. And I'm sure it will require some gratuitous desk accessories. Now, onto today's post! I started out with China Glaze Shore Enuff as a base. It's surprisingly transparent so it takes a few coats to look perfect. Using a big dotting tool I added the white petals and accent dots. Then I just went back through with the Pure Ice yellow to add the centers! I think these sort of look like eggs :/ but altogether they look fun and summery. And prepare yourself for all of my most summery looks in the next few weeks before I get all wrapped up in my fall/winter darks (can't wait!)

Song I'm jamming to:

Kendra Scott x Kansas City Blogger Event Recap!

Hi everyone! Last week I was able to attend an awesome KC blogger event with newly relaunched The Blog Guild! Formerly known as KC Blogger Meetup, The Blog Guild will help connect bloggers and help them collaborate! Kendra Scott recently opened up at the Plaza and it was the perfect venue for the launch event. Bloggers were treated with drinks, treats and some other fun activities like a braid bar from Parlor on the plaza or fun photobooth props! They also hosted giveaways and a discount on the products. I ended up with some gorgeous new Sky earrings in White Howlite, a white and black marble color. Here's a few photos from the event!

Summer Nail Art: Watermelons!

Hey guys-

Today I have some bright and fun nail art to share. I started off with two coats of JS Lemoncello as a base. I added watermelons using China Glaze Don't Mesa with my Heart (pink) and China Glaze Shore Enuff (Green). I used Essie Licorice for the seeds on these tiny watermelons! I stared the watermelons by crating the pink portion first. This green can be a little translucent so I wanted that to go on top. Then I added Shore Enuff as the Watermelon rind using a thin nail art brush. Then, with the smallest dotting tool I own, I added the seeds. Plus top coat and ta-da! I love this look and would definitely replicate with other fun summer fruit!

My Take On: China Glaze Shore Enuff

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing a fun, bright summer shade. China Glaze Shore Enuff is a bright, light neon green. It applies really well, really only requiring 2 coats for full coverage. It's perfect for nail art or just wearing alone, although it definitely turns heads!

Pink, White and Blue Mani Easy Nail Art

Hi guys! Today I have some really easy nail art to share! I started with Ciate Offshore for the base on each nail. On my pinky and middle finger, I added dots with China Glaze Dune Our Thing (fuschia shade). On My ring finger and thumb got some white dots from FingerPaints Paper Mache, and my thumb and middle finger got some aqua dots from Hard Candy Frenzy. Finally, I added some sparkle with China Glaze Your Present Awaits on my pointer finger. This mani altogether looks complicated but it's so easy! Just a dotting tool and nail art brush and you're done!

Smiling Bright with DenTek!

Hey guys! Today I have some awesome products from my friends at DenTek! As a dentist friend once told me, not flossing is like standing with your arms by your sides and having someone throw food at you! I am a fan of handheld flossers versus traditional floss, and so when I received these products from DenTek I was super pumped (yes, for floss!!).

First I tried out their Fresh White Floss Picks- that floss AND Whiten in one. They are excellent at getting tough food out with the added bonus of whitening.

I also tried out their Instant Pain Relief for Toothaches. I'm saving these int he event that I need one, but it's great to know that they are so handy and mess-free!

This was a product I actually have tried on my own, but I love keeping the floss picks + case in my purse for a *flossing emergency* :)

Lastly I tried out their Easy Brush cleaners. Also great to keep on hand when traveling to freshen you up!

If you've never tried these DenTek products, I would highly recommend them!
