Vampy Half Moon Manicure

Hey guys! Today I have a cool Half Moon color combo. I wanted to try something a little more wintry to match the cold weather we've been having, even though it should be spring-y by now! I started with e.l.f. innocent for the base. Then, using hole punch reinforcers (my favorite trick!) I added Revlon Dressed to Kill on top. I used 3 coats and then peeled off the reinforcers to reveal the half moon look. Dressed to Kill is such a fun shade and I would totally wear it year-round, even though it's pretty dark.

Room Makeover with GE Reveal Bulbs

Hey guys! Coming back with a really fun post this April :)

I was able to try out a full room makeover with new GE Reveal 75W halogen bulbs. At first, I didn't think that light bulbs could make a huge difference in a room (spoiler alert: I was wrong!). I chose my bedroom to makeover since our main piece of lighting is from our lamps.

Check out the before photo here:

I thought that I liked the lighting from those lamps before I tried anything different.

Then I swapped out for the GE Reveal bulbs and it really did improve the lighting in the room!

You can really tell how much brighter the room is. I found that these lights are a little softer than the previous photo. I also saw that the light spread further out in the room really nicely.

Before trying these, I didn't think it would make a difference but it really does!

My Take On: Sally Hansen Triple Shine in Red Snapper

Hi everyone,

Today I'm trying out Sally Hansen Triple Shine in Red Snapper. Red Snapper is a vibrant red/orange hue. I did definitely notice a difference in the shine factor in the formula. I used two coats for these photos and Seche Vite for top coat.

Have you tried any of the Triple Shine polishes?

Happy Valentine's Day! Double Nail Art!

Hey everyone and Happy Valentine's Day! I have two fun mani's to share today.

First up is a really simple, neutral valentine's day look. I started with e.l.f. Innocent, a very light nude. I then added tiny hearts and cheesy as it is, my husband's initials in OPI Wocka Wocka. It was pretty simply to do, and although the red did streak a little I still really love this look.

Second, is an ombre hearts look. I started with Chanel Riva, one of my all time favorite blue's. I then layered on Nabi Cinnamon, KleanColor Metallic Pink and an unidentified LA Colors. I liked this color combo since it was subtle but really fun! I can't resist ombre :)

Hope you all have a great Valentine's Day!

Create a Little Love! Valentine's Day Ombre

Hey guys!

Today I have a super fun mani to share as part of the Brilliant Earth Create a Little Love campaign. I chose to display 'love' with nail art, the best way I know how! I created a Pink Ombre look that faded from nail to nail. I started with OPI Hopelessly in Love, and transitioned to OPI Pink Friday. Then to China Glaze Escaping Reality, China Glaze Rose Among Thorns, Essie Plumberry and finally Jenna Hipp Maraschino. I then layered the letters LOVE in Pure Ice Beware and added a heart on my thumb. This ombre wasn't too hard, I just made sure I went to dark to light.

Happy Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day Nail Art: Red + Silver + Sparkle

Hi everyone,

Today I'm sharing another fun Valentine's Day look. I recently was gifted the Jenna Hipp mini set which features a ton of great colors. For this mani, I used Jenna Hipp Maraschino as a base. On my pinky nail, I added Pure Ice Beware for silver glitter and used it on my index finger to create a silver glitter ombre look. On my ring finger I used the big glitter pieces from American Apparel Light Year to create a dotted look. I think this look is really classy and fun!

Valentine's Day Subtle Pink Glitter Ombre Mani

Hi everyone,

This February, I wanted to try a subtle Valentines Day mani. I started with Julie G Bubble Bath, which is a light pink creme polish. I used two coats and then added Nicole by OPI Inner Sparkle from the Selena Gomez collection. Inner Sparkle is a clear glitter polish with pink glitter and gold micro glitter. I used an ombré style to use the glitter mostly on the tip of my nails. I love this look for valentine's day for something that is festive without being too much.
